The old-fashioned French-style rotary dial phone up for auction has an old-looking label on it which says in part: AMERICAN TELECOMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION. DECO TEL - PERSONAL TELEPHONES. EL MONTE, CALIFORNIA . MODAL NO., DAG or DAC (It's hard to read.) 1440 W. The phone is mounted on a cream-colored plastic base that measures about 8" long x 6" wide x 3 1/2" tall. Red velvet covers the sides, which are trimmed in what looks like brass. In the back of the rotary dial is an ornate brass scroll-like figure with little cupids in the center-mounted on red velvet, which is just barely starting to pull away from its mount. The phone comes with a long wall connecting cord. The phone is in working condition. It came from an estate sale and probably dates back to the late 60's or the 70's.
